Before proceeding, please read our CHILD PROTECTION POLICY
This site will show you how much fun you
can have when you become a sea cadet. You'll see that you will have an opportunity to visit
Royal Naval
ships such as HMS Bristol. Unfortunately with our affiliated ship
HMS Sheffield, having been sold to a foreign navy, is no longer available for visits but there are often other
opportunities to go to sea on other HM Ships and in particular on Sail Training Ships of the Corps and the Marine
Society. There are age limitations for attendance on Sail Training ships.
You can also attend Royal Navy Establishments to gain qualifications to advance yourself
within the Corps. All cadets have the opportunity to join the cadet band
and also participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme where certain Sea Cadet
qualifications are allowable towards the award.
In addition there are often many competitions
you can enter such as Drill, 5-a-side football or the rowing/sailing regatta.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the training, the following age restrictions apply:
Parades are held on Monday and Thursdays 1900 - 2100hrs.
Junior Cadets parade on Thursdays and on the first Monday of the month, when we have Divisions and presentations.
Band practices are held on Wednesdays 1900-2100 and Sundays 12:00 Noon to 2:00pm at:
Conquest House
October 2008 was a busy month for the cadets and details can be seen by following this link

9th June 2009. Apologies to our readers for the many delays in updating the Web site. This has now been remedied but there are still more updates to come.
Having completed the renovation of the lift and the installation of disabled toilet/shower facilities we now have one final hurdle to complete, the wheelchair access to the building and we will then meet all aspects of the Disability Discrimination Act 2004
We are now looking for new recruits from all the diverse parts of the Sheffield community, which means the disadvantaged as well as our
ethnic minorities and as you have seen above, we may be able to offer places to those of you who are unfortunately disabled.
So get your Mums and Dads to bring you along and see for themselves what we all get up to.
We look forward to seeing you.
